Ghandruk Village Trek
♡A six-day gentle trek to the Gurung village of Ghandruk in the Annapurna foothills, combining walking with village culture and mountain views.
Best for: First-time trekker wanting genuine mountain views
Destinations: Annapurna Region
Overview
Ghandruk is one of the more accessible villages in the Annapurna foothills, reached by a moderate trail through terraced farmland and rhododendron forest, with genuinely close Annapurna and Machhapuchhre views from the village itself. This journey combines the trek with real time in the village, largely home to the Gurung community, rather than treating it purely as a scenic stop.
Walking days run 3–5 hours, considerably shorter than our longer treks, making this a reasonable option for guests with limited trekking experience who still want proper mountain views and overnight teahouse stays rather than a day hike. An evening is spent with a local Gurung cultural museum and guided conversation about the community's history and Gurkha connections.
